Comparison review
The Huawei Mate X is better than Xperia Z5, getting a score of 89.4 against 77.6. Huawei Mate X's body is much newer than Xperia Z5's, but it is notably thicker and notably heavier. These devices include Android OS (operating system), but Huawei Mate X has newer 9.0 Pie version while Xperia Z5 has Android 5.1, providing you some nice extra features.
The Xperia Z5 has a little bit better display than Huawei Mate X, because although it has a way smaller display and a lot lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, it also counts with a bit greater amount of pixels per inch in the screen. The Huawei Mate X features a much bigger storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Sony Xperia Z5, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with more internal storage.
Huawei Mate X features a little bit better performance than Sony Xperia Z5, because although it has doesn't have an additional GPU, and they both have 8 cores, the Huawei Mate X also counts with a larger amount of RAM. Xperia Z5 counts with a better camera than Huawei Mate X, although it has a much tinier camera sensor offering a much worse image quality and a much less mega-pixels camera in the back, they both have the same camera aperture.
The Huawei Mate X features a very superior battery performance than Xperia Z5, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Xperia Z5, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xperia Z5. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Huawei Mate X, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xperia Z5, giving up some features and specifications.
