The LG G8 ThinQ is a little bit better than the Xperia Z5, getting a general score of 84.3 against 77.6. These phones work with Android operating system, but the LG G8 ThinQ has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Xperia Z5 has Android 5.1, so it offers some extra features. The LG G8 ThinQ design is incredibly newer than the Xperia Z5's, but it's a little heavier and thicker.

Sony Xperia Z5 has a bit better camera than LG G8 ThinQ, because although it has slower video frame rate and a tinier aperture which is not recommended for low light photos and video, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Sony Xperia Z5 also counts with a back facing camera with a much better resolution and a bigger back-facing camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
