Motorola edge has a score of 89.6, which is much better than the Sony Xperia Z5's 77.6 overall score. The Motorola edge body is extremely newer, but somewhat heavier and noticeably thicker than Sony Xperia Z5. Both of these phones use Android operating system, but Motorola edge has a newer 10 version while Sony Xperia Z5 has Android 5.1, so it offers some additional features and performance tweaks.

The Motorola edge's processing unit is just as good as the CPU in Sony Xperia Z5, because although the Motorola edge has doesn't have an extra graphics processor, and they both have 8 processing cores, it also counts with more RAM memory. The Xperia Z5 features a sharper screen than Motorola edge, because although it has a much smaller display and a bit lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, it also counts with a bit more pixels per inch in the display.

Motorola edge has a very superior memory capacity for applications and games than Xperia Z5, because it has 224 GB more internal memory capacity and a slot for an SD memory card that holds up to 1000 GB. The Motorola edge has a very superior battery duration than Xperia Z5, because it has a 55 percent bigger battery size.

The Motorola edge counts with a better camera than Xperia Z5, and although they both have the same camera aperture, the same video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Motorola edge also has a much more mega pixels back facing camera and a lot bigger sensor capturing much higher quality videos and photographs.

The Motorola edge costs more money than the Sony Xperia Z5, but you can get a better phone for that few more dollars.
