The Motorola Edge 20 has a global score of 86.1, which is better than Xperia Z5's general score of 77.6. Both of these phones include Android OS, but Motorola Edge 20 has the newer 11 version and Xperia Z5 has Android 5.1 version, providing the user a couple nice extra features. The Motorola Edge 20 is a noticeably newer and just a bit thinner cellphone than Xperia Z5, although it is a bit heavier.
