Comparison review

Xperia Z5 is a bit better than Moto Z3, having a 77.6 score against 77.6. Both of these phones include Android operating system, but the Xperia Z5 has older 5.1 version and Moto Z3 has Android 9.0 Pie. The Xperia Z5 construction is a little lighter than Moto Z3, although it's a little thicker and was released 3 years before.

The Motorola Moto Z3 counts with a processing unit that's just as good as the Xperia Z5 one, because although the Motorola Moto Z3 has doesn't have an additional GPU, and they both have 8 cores, it also counts with more RAM memory. The Sony Xperia Z5 has a sharper display than Moto Z3, because although it has a bit lower 1920 x 1080px resolution and a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a quite greater display pixels density.

Xperia Z5 features a superior camera than Moto Z3, and although they both have the same video quality and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Xperia Z5 also has a much higher resolution back camera, a much bigger camera sensor shooting lot better quality photos and videos and a larger diafragm aperture to take better low-light images.

The Moto Z3 features a much better memory for games and applications than Sony Xperia Z5, because it has 32 GB more internal storage capacity and a SD card slot that admits up to 1,95 TB. The Motorola Moto Z3 has a bit longer battery duration than Xperia Z5, because it has a 3000mAh battery size against 2900mAh.

Although Xperia Z5 is a better device, it costs more than Moto Z3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Moto Z3. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Xperia Z5, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Moto Z3, giving up a couple specifications.
