The Sony Xperia Z5 has a score of 77.6, which is just a bit better than Motorola Moto Z3 Play's general score of 76.3. Even though Sony Xperia Z5 is much older and just a little bit thicker than Motorola Moto Z3 Play, it's body is still just a little lighter. The Xperia Z5 counts with a bit superior processor than Motorola Moto Z3 Play, because although it has lesser RAM memory, and they both have 8 CPU cores, the Xperia Z5 also counts with an additional graphics processor.

The Sony Xperia Z5 features a much better looking screen than Moto Z3 Play, because although it has a quite smaller screen and a bit worse 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, it also counts with a just a bit more pixels per screen inch. The Moto Z3 Play counts with a lot bigger memory for applications and games than Xperia Z5, because it has a slot for an external memory card that allows up to 1,95 TB and 64 GB internal storage capacity.

Xperia Z5 counts with a little bit better camera than Motorola Moto Z3 Play, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not good for capturing pictures and/or video in low-light situations, and they both have the same video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Xperia Z5 also counts with a larger back camera sensor providing a better image quality and a back camera with a lot better 23 MP resolution.

The Moto Z3 Play counts with a bit superior battery life than Sony Xperia Z5, because it has 3000mAh of battery capacity instead of 2900mAh.
