Comparison review

The Sony Xperia Z5 is just a bit better than the Galaxy Alpha, having a general score of 77.6 against 76.3. These phones come with Android operating system, but Sony Xperia Z5 has the newer 5.1 version while Galaxy Alpha has Android 4.4.4. The Sony Xperia Z5 is a noticeably heavier and thicker phone than Galaxy Alpha.

Samsung Galaxy Alpha counts with a processor that's very similar to Xperia Z5's CPU, and although the Samsung Galaxy Alpha has a lower number of cores (although they are faster) and lesser RAM memory, they both have a 450 MHz graphics processor. Sony Xperia Z5 has a bit sharper display than Galaxy Alpha, because it has a higher screen pixel density, a much better resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a little bit larger screen.

The Xperia Z5 features a better camera than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Xperia Z5 also has a lot more mega pixels back camera and a larger diafragm aperture to take better images and video in low light environments.

Sony Xperia Z5 has a way bigger storage to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Sony Xperia Z5 also has a slot for an SD memory card that admits up to 200 GB. The Sony Xperia Z5 features a really longer battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, because it has 2900mAh of battery capacity.

Although Sony Xperia Z5 is a better device, it costs more than Samsung Galaxy Alpha, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Samsung Galaxy Alpha. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Sony Xperia Z5, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, letting go a couple specifications.
