Comparison review

The Galaxy Note8 has a general score of 83, which is a bit better than Xperia Z5's global score of 77.6. Galaxy Note8's body is way newer than Xperia Z5's, although it is thicker and much heavier. Both of these phones come with Android operating system, but Galaxy Note8 has 9.0 Pie version and Xperia Z5 has Android 5.1 version.

The Samsung Galaxy Note8 counts with a processing unit that's just as good as Sony Xperia Z5's processor, because although the Samsung Galaxy Note8 has doesn't have an additional graphics processor, and they both have a Octa-Core processor, it also counts with 3 GB more RAM. The Xperia Z5 has a slightly better display than Galaxy Note8, although it has a much lower resolution of 1920 x 1080, a quite smaller screen and a quite lower pixels number in each inch in the display.

Samsung Galaxy Note8 features a much bigger storage to store more apps and games than Xperia Z5, because it has 32 GB more internal memory capacity and a slot for an SD memory card that admits a maximum of 256 GB. The Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a little better battery performance than Xperia Z5, because it has a 14 percent bigger battery capacity.

Xperia Z5 takes a little bit better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Xperia Z5 also counts with a much higher 23 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera and a larger sensor which gives a higher image and video quality.

The Galaxy Note8 is a bit more expensive than the Sony Xperia Z5, but you can get a better phone for that few extra dollars.
