Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is a bit better than the Xperia Z5, getting a score of 81.9 against 77.6. The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active body is newer than the Xperia Z5's, although it's extremely thicker and heavier. Xperia Z5 features a bit more powerful processing unit than Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia Z5 also counts with an additional graphics co-processor.
The Xperia Z5 features a slightly better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, although it has a lot worse resolution of 1920 x 1080px, a little smaller display and a lot lower pixel number per inch of screen. Galaxy S8 Active counts with a very superior storage for applications and games than Sony Xperia Z5, because it has a SD card slot that holds a maximum of 256 GB and 32 GB more internal storage capacity.
The Xperia Z5 shoots just a bit better photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a tinier aperture which is worse for taking photos and/or video in low light situations, and they both have the same video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Xperia Z5 also counts with a camera in the back with way more MP and a larger back camera sensor shooting higher quality videos and pictures.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active counts with a way better battery life than Xperia Z5, because it has a 38% greater battery size.
