Comparison review
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a general score of 94.6, which is a lot better than the Sony Xperia Z5's score of 77.6. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 body is incredibly newer and just a little thinner, but noticeably heavier than the Sony Xperia Z5. Both of these phones include Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a newer 11 version and Sony Xperia Z5 has Android 5.1 version, so it counts with some extra features and enhanced performance.
The Sony Xperia Z5 features a more vivid screen than Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has a lot lower 1920 x 1080 resolution and a really smaller screen, it also counts with a little bit better screen pixels density. Galaxy Z Fold 2 features a little bit better hardware performance than Xperia Z5, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processor, and they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 also counts with 9 GB more RAM memory.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a much bigger memory capacity to install games and applications than Sony Xperia Z5, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 features a much better battery duration than Sony Xperia Z5, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity.
Xperia Z5 captures clearer videos and photos than Galaxy Z Fold 2, because although it has lower video frame rate and a way tinier back camera sensor which offers a much lower image and video quality, and they both have the same (4K) video quality and the same camera aperture, the Xperia Z5 also counts with a way higher resolution back-facing camera.
Although Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Xperia Z5, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xperia Z5. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Xperia Z5, resigning a couple features and specifications.
