The Sony Xperia 1 has a global score of 82.6, which is a bit better than the Xperia Z5's 77.6 overall score. Although Sony Xperia 1 is incredibly newer than the Xperia Z5, it is heavier and a little bit thicker. The Sony Xperia 1 has a bit more powerful processor than Xperia Z5, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, and they both have 8 cpu cores, the Sony Xperia 1 also counts with a higher amount of RAM.

Xperia 1 counts with just a bit better looking display than Sony Xperia Z5, because it has a bigger screen, a much better 1644 x 3840 resolution and a much higher screen pixels density.
