Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite is just a bit better than the Xperia Z5, getting a overall score of 77.7 against 77.6. Both phones in our current comparison come with Android OS, but Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite has a newer 8.1 Oreo version and Xperia Z5 has Android 5.1 version, giving a couple nice extra features and performance enhancements. Although it's the best cellphone in this comparison review, Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite's body is just a bit heavier and a bit thicker than Xperia Z5.
The Xperia Z5 counts with a much better screen than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, because although it has a quite smaller screen and a bit worse resolution of 1920 x 1080, it also counts with a little higher screen pixels density. The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite features a bigger storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xperia Z5, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity.
Xperia Z5 has a bit faster processing unit than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, because although it has 3 GB lesser RAM, and they both have 8 processing cores, the Xperia Z5 also counts with an additional graphics co-processor. Sony Xperia Z5 has a slightly better camera than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Sony Xperia Z5 also has a back-facing camera with lot more mega pixels, a larger sensor shooting better quality photographs and videos and a larger diafragm aperture.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite features a bit better battery duration than Xperia Z5, because it has a 16% larger battery capacity.
