Comparison review
The Xperia Z5 has a general score of 77.6, which is a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9's 76.6 general score. Both phones we are comparing have Android OS, but Xperia Z5 has an older 5.1 version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has Android 10 version. The Xperia Z5 is an extremely older cellphone than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, but Sony was able to build it somewhat thinner and way lighter anyway.
The Sony Xperia Z5 features a brighter screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has a little worse 1920 x 1080 resolution and a way smaller display, it also counts with a little bit higher pixel number per inch of display. The Sony Xperia Z5 counts with a bit superior CPU than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have a 3 GB RAM memory and the same number of cores, the Sony Xperia Z5 also has an additional GPU.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 shoots a bit better photographs and videos than Sony Xperia Z5, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 video quality, the same video frame rate and a F1.8 diafragm aperture, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has a way better 48 megapixels resolution back facing camera and a bigger back camera sensor which provides a higher image and video quality.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a bigger memory to install games and applications than Xperia Z5, because although it has a slot for SD memory cards that admits a maximum of 128 GB against 200 GB, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a much longer battery performance than Sony Xperia Z5, because it has 5020mAh of battery capacity against 2900mAh.
Although Sony Xperia Z5 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Redmi Note 9. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, giving up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
