The Moto G7 is a bit better than the Xperia ZL, getting a 75.2 score against 68.5. Both phones in this review come with Android operating system, but Moto G7 has a newer 9.0 Pie version while Xperia ZL has Android 4.4.4 version. Moto G7's construction is incredibly newer and extremely thinner than Xperia ZL's, but it's somewhat heavier.
Motorola Moto G7 has a bit better hardware performance than Xperia ZL, because although it has doesn't have an extra GPU, it also counts with more RAM and 4 more CPU cores. Sony Xperia ZL counts with a more vivid display than Moto G7, because although it has a little bit smaller display and a quite lower 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, it also counts with a just a bit better pixels density.
Moto G7 counts with much more memory to install games and applications than Sony Xperia ZL, because it has more internal memory capacity and a SD extension slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB. The Moto G7 has a superior camera than Xperia ZL, because although it has a lower 12 mega-pixels resolution camera in the back, it also counts with a lot bigger camera aperture to capture better images and videos in poorly lited situations and a way higher video resolution.
The Moto G7 features superior battery performance than Sony Xperia ZL, because it has a 27% greater battery size.
