OnePlus 9 is a bit better than TCL 20 5G, having a general score of 76 against 73.1. Both devices in this review include Android operating system, but the OnePlus 9 has a newer 11 version while TCL 20 5G has Android 10 version, giving a couple additional features and enhanced performance. OnePlus 9 is a a little thinner and a bit lighter phone than TCL 20 5G, even when both of them were only released 4 months apart.
OnePlus 9 features a little better processing power than TCL 20 5G, and although they both have the same number of cores, the OnePlus 9 also has more RAM memory. TCL 20 5G counts with a bit better looking display than OnePlus 9, because although it has a little worse pixels density, and they both have the same 2400 x 1080 resolution, the TCL 20 5G also counts with a little bigger display.
OnePlus 9 shoots much better pictures and videos than TCL 20 5G, and although they both have a same size aperture and a back facing camera with a 48 MP, the OnePlus 9 also has a lot higher video resolution and a way bigger back-facing camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors. The TCL 20 5G has a much greater storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than OnePlus 9, and although they both have equal 128 GB internal memory capacity, the TCL 20 5G also has an external memory card slot that admits a maximum of 256 GB.
The OnePlus 9's battery performance is just as good as the TCL 20 5G one.
