Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has a global score of 81.1, which is much better than TCL 20 5G's global score of 73.1. Even though the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro and the TCL 20 5G were released only a couple months apart, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro design is just a little bit thinner but also a little bit heavier. Both of these phones come with the same Android 10 operating system, so you shouldn't notice any differences regarding that.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has just a little better processing power than TCL 20 5G. Both have 6 GB of RAM and a Octa-Core processor. TCL 20 5G features a bit more vivid display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro. Both have an equal resolution of 2400 x 1080px, the same pixels density and a screen of the same size.
The TCL 20 5G counts with a quite bigger storage for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, because although it has a slot for external memory cards that allows 256 GB smaller, it also counts with more internal storage. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro counts with just a bit better camera than TCL 20 5G, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is worse for taking photos and video in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same (4K) video quality and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro also counts with a lot better resolution back-facing camera and a larger sensor which provides a higher photo and video quality.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has a little longer battery duration than TCL 20 5G, because it has 5020mAh of battery capacity.
