Comparison review
Sony Xperia 5 III has a global score of 90.5, which is better than TCL 20 Pro 5G's overall score of 76.1. The Sony Xperia 5 III construction is thinner and somewhat lighter than TCL 20 Pro 5G, even when both were released only a couple of months apart. These phones come with the same Android 11 operating system, so both should provide the user very similar OS features.
The Sony Xperia 5 III has a little more vivid screen than TCL 20 Pro 5G, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2520 and a bit greater number of pixels in each inch of display. The TCL 20 Pro 5G and the Xperia 5 III feature really similar memory capacity for games and applications, both of them have the same internal storage capacity and a slot for SD memory cards that holds a maximum of 1 TB.
The Sony Xperia 5 III features a little bit better hardware performance than TCL 20 Pro 5G, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Sony Xperia 5 III also has 2 GB more RAM memory. The Sony Xperia 5 III features a battery performance that's very similar to the TCL 20 Pro 5G one.
The TCL 20 Pro 5G captures slightly better pictures and videos than Xperia 5 III, because although it has lower 30 frames per second video frame rate, a smaller aperture which is not good for taking pictures in low light situations and a tinier sensor shooting worse quality pictures and videos, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the TCL 20 Pro 5G also counts with a much more MP camera in the back.
