Comparison review
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is a little bit better than the Xiaomi 12 Lite, having a global score of 76.6 against 73.2. Despite being the best cellphone in this review, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 construction is somewhat thicker and somewhat heavier than the Xiaomi 12 Lite. Both phones we compare here come with Android OS (operating system), but the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has the previous 10 version and Xiaomi 12 Lite has Android 12.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a bit better looking screen than Xiaomi 12 Lite, although it has a bit lower pixel density and a little bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, they both have a screen with the same size. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a much better performance than Xiaomi 12 Lite, although it has less RAM, they both have 8 CPU cores.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 captures clearer videos and photos than Xiaomi 12 Lite, because although it has a way worse 48 MP resolution camera in the back, it also counts with a way larger back-facing camera sensor which gives a lot higher image and video quality and a larger camera aperture. The Xiaomi 12 Lite has a bit more storage for apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage capacity.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features greater battery lifetime than Xiaomi 12 Lite, because it has a 17 percent bigger battery capacity.
