Comparison review
Xiaomi 12 Pro is just a bit better than Asus ROG Phone 8, getting a 79.6 score against 79.5. Despite of the fact that Xiaomi 12 Pro is older than Asus ROG Phone 8, it's body is just a little thinner and a little lighter. Both phones we compare here use Android OS (operating system), but Xiaomi 12 Pro has older 12 version while Asus ROG Phone 8 has Android 14 version.
Asus ROG Phone 8 has a processor that's just as good as the Xiaomi 12 Pro one, and although the Asus ROG Phone 8 has 4 GB more RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processing unit. Asus ROG Phone 8 has a bit better looking screen than Xiaomi 12 Pro, because although it has a much worse display pixel density and a way worse 1080 x 2400 resolution, it also counts with way more display brightness and a quite larger display.
The Asus ROG Phone 8 has a superior memory for applications and games than Xiaomi 12 Pro, because it has 256 GB internal storage. The Asus ROG Phone 8 features better battery lifetime than Xiaomi 12 Pro, because it has a 5500mAh battery size. The Xiaomi 12 Pro captures a bit better photographs and videos than Asus ROG Phone 8, and although they both have the same aperture, the same 7680x4320 video resolution, the same resolution camera and the same 24 fps video frame rate, the Xiaomi 12 Pro also has a larger back-facing camera sensor.
