The Galaxy A42 has an overall score of 87, which is a bit better than the Xiaomi 12 Pro's 79.6 general score. Galaxy A42 is an older and a little thicker phone than Xiaomi 12 Pro, but Samsung managed to build it a little bit lighter anyway. These devices come with Android OS (operating system), but Galaxy A42 has older 11 version while Xiaomi 12 Pro has Android 12.
Samsung Galaxy A42 counts with a way better processing power than Xiaomi 12 Pro, although it has 4 GB lesser RAM, they both have a Octa-Core CPU. Xiaomi 12 Pro counts with a lot better looking display than Galaxy A42, because it has a little bigger screen, a much higher pixel density and a way better 1440 x 3200 resolution.
Galaxy A42 features a much better storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi 12 Pro, and although they both have the same internal memory capacity, the Galaxy A42 also has a slot for an SD memory card that supports up to 1000 GB. Xiaomi 12 Pro features a superior camera than Galaxy A42, because although it has a smaller aperture, it also counts with a camera with more mega pixels and a much higher 7680x4320 video quality.
The Samsung Galaxy A42 has a bit superior battery performance than Xiaomi 12 Pro, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity.
