Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi 8 has an overall score of 83.3, which is just a bit better than Xiaomi 12's global score of 78.8. Even though Xiaomi Mi 8 is older than Xiaomi 12, it's body is a little thinner and a little bit lighter. Both of these phones use Android operating system, but the Xiaomi Mi 8 has an older 10 version and Xiaomi 12 has Android 12 version.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 has a very superior processing unit than Xiaomi 12, although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. Xiaomi 12 features a little more vivid display than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has a just a little higher amount of pixels in each inch in the display, a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, much more brightness and a quite bigger screen.
The Xiaomi 12 has a much better camera than Xiaomi Mi 8, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not so good for taking pictures and/or video in low-light environments, it also counts with a much higher resolution camera in the back, a lot larger camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a lot higher video quality.
Xiaomi Mi 8 has a superior memory for games and applications than Xiaomi 12, because it has 256 GB internal memory. Xiaomi 12 has improved battery life than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has a 4500mAh battery size.
