Asus ROG Phone 8 has a score of 79.5, which is a bit better than the Xiaomi 12S's score of 72.9. Both devices in this review work with Android OS, but the Asus ROG Phone 8 has the newer 14 version and Xiaomi 12S has Android 12, offering some nice extra features and better performance. Asus ROG Phone 8 counts with a little more vivid display than Xiaomi 12S, because although it has a little bit inferior count of pixels per inch in the screen, and they both have an equal resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, the Asus ROG Phone 8 also counts with a bit bigger screen and a way brighter display.
The Asus ROG Phone 8 features a lot bigger memory capacity to install games and applications than Xiaomi 12S, because it has 256 GB internal storage. Asus ROG Phone 8 and Xiaomi 12S both count with incredibly similar processing units, and although the Asus ROG Phone 8 has a greater amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores.
Asus ROG Phone 8 captures a lot better photographs and videos than Xiaomi 12S. They have the same resolution back camera. The Asus ROG Phone 8 has better battery lifetime than Xiaomi 12S, because it has a 5500mAh battery capacity instead of 4500mAh.
