The Xiaomi 12S Ultra is just a bit better than Moto G9 Play, having a general score of 81 against 76.7. Both devices in this review come with Android OS (operating system), but the Xiaomi 12S Ultra has the newer 12 version and Moto G9 Play has Android 10 version. The Xiaomi 12S Ultra construction is notably thinner and way lighter than the Moto G9 Play.
Moto G9 Play counts with a much faster CPU than Xiaomi 12S Ultra, although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core CPU. Xiaomi 12S Ultra has a much sharper display than Moto G9 Play, because it has a little larger screen, a way better number of pixels per inch in the screen and a way better resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels.
The Xiaomi 12S Ultra counts with more memory to store more apps and games than Moto G9 Play, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity. The Moto G9 Play features a bit better battery performance than Xiaomi 12S Ultra, because it has a 5000mAh battery size.
Xiaomi 12S Ultra has a slightly better camera than Motorola Moto G9 Play, because although it has a smaller sensor which offers a worse photo and video quality and a smaller aperture which is not so good for shooting images and videos in poorly lited environments, it also counts with a higher resolution back camera and a lot better 7680x4320 video quality.
