Comparison review
Xiaomi 14 Ultra is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, having an 84.4 score against 79. Both phones in this review work with Android operating system, but the Xiaomi 14 Ultra has a newer 14 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has Android 11, giving a couple nice extra features and improved performance. Xiaomi 14 Ultra's body is newer, but just a little bit thicker and a little bit heavier than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S.
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra has a much more vibrant display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, and although they both have a screen of the same size, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra also has a higher screen pixel density and a better 1440 x 3200 pixels resolution. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S counts with a way better performance than Xiaomi 14 Ultra, although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, they both have 8 processing cores.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra captures a bit better photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, because although it has a much tinier back-facing camera sensor shooting lot worse quality pictures, it also counts with a way higher video definition, a bigger aperture to capture better low light captures and a higher 50 megapixels resolution back-facing camera.
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra counts with a quite bigger storage for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with more internal storage capacity. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S counts with a battery lifetime that's very similar to the battery duration in Xiaomi 14 Ultra, although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S also has 5020mAh of battery capacity instead of 5000mAh.
