Comparison review
The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro is slightly better than the Motorola Edge 40, getting a overall score of 82.9 against 77.2. Although it's the best we compare here, it must be noted that it's also a noticeably older, somewhat heavier and somewhat thicker phone. These phones come with Android OS (Operating System), but Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Motorola Edge 40 has Android 13 version.
The Motorola Edge 40 counts with just a bit better display than Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro, because it has a quite better 1080 x 2400 resolution, way more display brightness, a just a little higher amount of pixels per inch in the display and a little bigger display. Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro counts with a much faster processing unit than Motorola Edge 40. Both have a Octa-Core CPU and a 8 GB RAM memory.
The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro features a little bit better camera than Motorola Edge 40, although it has a worse (4K) video definition, a way smaller camera aperture, a much smaller sensor and a back camera with a worse resolution. The Motorola Edge 40's memory capacity for apps and games is very similar to Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro's one, both have exactly the same 128 GB internal storage.
Motorola Edge 40 has a bit superior battery performance than Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro, because it has a 4400mAh battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
