Sony Xperia 5 III has a global score of 90.5, which is just a bit better than Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro's global score of 82.9. Both phones in this review use Android OS, but the Sony Xperia 5 III has the older 11 version while Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro has Android 9.0 Pie. The Sony Xperia 5 III is a newer device, and it's also just a little bit thinner and somewhat lighter than the Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro.
Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro has just a little better processing power than Xperia 5 III. Both have 8 GB of RAM and a Octa-Core processor. Sony Xperia 5 III counts with a screen that's just as good as the Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro one, because although the Sony Xperia 5 III has a little smaller display, it also counts with a little greater display pixels density and a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2520 pixels.
The Sony Xperia 5 III counts with a lot bigger storage for games and applications than Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro, because it has more internal storage and a slot for external memory cards that supports a maximum of 1 TB. Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro counts with just a bit better camera than Sony Xperia 5 III, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture, a tinier sensor capturing lower quality videos and photos and worse video frame rates, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro also counts with a lot better resolution back-facing camera.
