Xiaomi Black Shark 2 is a little bit better than Galaxy A40, with a global score of 82.3 against 79.6. Both phones in this review use Android OS, but Xiaomi Black Shark 2 has an older 10 version and Galaxy A40 has Android 11 version. The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 is a somewhat thicker and much heavier device than the Galaxy A40.
Xiaomi Black Shark 2 has a bit faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy A40, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xiaomi Black Shark 2 also has more RAM memory. The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 features a little sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy A40, because although it has a quite worse pixel amount in each inch of display, and they both have the same 1080 x 2340 resolution, the Xiaomi Black Shark 2 also counts with a quite larger screen.
The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 counts with a much better camera than Galaxy A40, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is worse for shooting images and video in poorly lited environments, it also counts with a way better 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, a way larger back camera sensor and a much higher resolution camera.
The Galaxy A40 counts with a greater memory capacity to install games and applications than Xiaomi Black Shark 2, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that holds up to 512 GB. The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 features longer battery life than Samsung Galaxy A40, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity against 3100mAh.
