Comparison review
Galaxy A50 has a global score of 83.8, which is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Black Shark 2's general score of 82.3. Even when Galaxy A50 and Xiaomi Black Shark 2 were only released with a couple of months difference, Galaxy A50 is lighter and thinner. The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 has a bit faster CPU than Samsung Galaxy A50, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Xiaomi Black Shark 2 also has more RAM memory.
Xiaomi Black Shark 2 counts with a little sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy A50. Both of them have a screen with the same size, the same pixel density and the same exact resolution of 1080 x 2340px. The Galaxy A50 features a much better memory to store more games and applications than Xiaomi Black Shark 2, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal storage capacity, the Galaxy A50 also has a slot for external memory cards that supports up to 512 GB.
The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 takes much better videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy A50, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not good for taking photos and/or video in low-light environments, it also counts with a back camera with a lot better resolution, a way higher (4K) video quality and a way larger camera sensor providing a lot higher image quality.
Samsung Galaxy A50's battery lifetime is very similar to the Xiaomi Black Shark 2 one.
