Comparison review
Galaxy M40 is slightly better than Xiaomi Black Shark 2, with a general score of 85 against 82.3. Even though the Galaxy M40 and Xiaomi Black Shark 2 were only released with a couple of months difference, the Galaxy M40 is thinner and somewhat lighter. Both of these phones come with the same Android 10 OS.
Xiaomi Black Shark 2 counts with just a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy M40, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xiaomi Black Shark 2 also has a greater amount of RAM. The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 counts with a bit more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy M40, because although it has a little bit worse display pixel density, and they both have the same 1080 x 2340 resolution, the Xiaomi Black Shark 2 also counts with a little bit larger screen.
Xiaomi Black Shark 2 features a bit better camera than Galaxy M40, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not good for low-light images, and they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same video definition, the Xiaomi Black Shark 2 also counts with a lot bigger sensor providing a much higher image quality and a way higher resolution camera.
Galaxy M40 features a superior memory capacity for apps and games than Xiaomi Black Shark 2, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the Galaxy M40 also has an external SD slot that supports a maximum of 512 GB. Xiaomi Black Shark 2 features a bit longer battery life than Samsung Galaxy M40, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3500mAh.
