Xiaomi Black Shark 2 is slightly better than Galaxy Note 3, getting a score of 82.3 against 81.2. Even though Xiaomi Black Shark 2 is noticeably newer than Galaxy Note 3, it is just a bit thicker and somewhat heavier. Both phones in this review include Android OS (Operating System), but Xiaomi Black Shark 2 has 10 version while Galaxy Note 3 has Android 5.0 version, so it counts with some extra features and some performance improvements.

The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 has a bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Note 3, because although it has doesn't have an additional GPU, it also counts with more RAM and 4 more cores. The Galaxy Note 3 counts with just a bit better display than Xiaomi Black Shark 2, although it has a bit inferior pixel number per inch of display, a quite smaller display and a bit lower 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution.

Xiaomi Black Shark 2 takes much clearer photographs and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note 3, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rates and the same video resolution, the Xiaomi Black Shark 2 also has a bigger aperture for better low-light captures and videos, a back facing camera with lot more mega-pixels and a lot bigger sensor capturing lot better quality photographs.

The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 has just a bit bigger storage to store more apps and games than Galaxy Note 3, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity. Xiaomi Black Shark 2 counts with better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Note 3, because it has a 25% larger battery capacity.
