Xiaomi Black Shark 2 is just a bit better than Xiaomi 12X, having an 82.3 score against 77.8. Despite being the best in this review, it must be noted that it's also a noticeably older, just a little thicker and somewhat heavier device. Both devices in our current comparison have Android OS, but Xiaomi Black Shark 2 has an older 10 version while Xiaomi 12X has Android 11 version.
The Xiaomi 12X features a bit more vivid display than Xiaomi Black Shark 2, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a little bit better display pixels density, a lot brighter display and a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2400. The Xiaomi 12X's memory capacity for applications and games is just as good as Xiaomi Black Shark 2's one, both have exactly the same 128 GB internal storage.
The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 counts with a much better processing power than Xiaomi 12X. Both have a Octa-Core CPU and the same RAM memory amount. The Xiaomi 12X shoots a little bit better videos and photos than Xiaomi Black Shark 2, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not nice for taking images in low-light environments, it also counts with a better 50 MP resolution back facing camera and a lot higher video resolution.
Xiaomi 12X counts with just a little bit longer battery duration than Xiaomi Black Shark 2, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
