Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro has a general score of 78.7, which is just a bit better than the Motorola Edge 40's 77.2 global score. These phones work with Android OS (Operating System), but Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro has the older 12 version while Motorola Edge 40 has Android 13. Despite being the best cellphone in this review, it must be told that it's also older, extremely heavier and thicker.
The Motorola Edge 40 has a CPU that is just as good as Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro's processing unit, both have a Octa-Core processing unit and 8 GB of RAM memory. The Motorola Edge 40 counts with a much better display than Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro, because although it has a bit smaller screen, and they both have an equal resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, the Motorola Edge 40 also counts with a bit more pixels per display inch.
The Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro has a much greater memory capacity for applications and games than Motorola Edge 40, because it has 128 GB more internal memory capacity. The Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro has a slightly better camera than Motorola Edge 40, because although it has a lot tinier diafragm aperture which is not favorable for low-light captures and videos and a much smaller sensor providing a lot worse image quality, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro also counts with faster 60 frames per second video frame rates and a back facing camera with a lot higher 108 mega-pixels resolution.
The Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro features a bit superior battery performance than Motorola Edge 40, because it has a 6% greater battery size.
