Comparison review
Xperia Z5 Premium is just a bit better than Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro, having a overall score of 79.8 against 78.7. Although the Xperia Z5 Premium is noticeably older than Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro, it's construction is thinner and lighter. These phones use Android OS (operating system), but the Xperia Z5 Premium has the older 5.1 version and Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro has Android 12 version.
The Xperia Z5 Premium has a much sharper display than Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a lot higher resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and a lot better count of pixels per inch of display. The Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro features a lot bigger storage for applications and games than Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage.
Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a much better performing processing unit than Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, and they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with an additional graphics processing unit. The Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro counts with longer battery duration than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has 4650mAh of battery capacity.
The Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro shoots much better pictures and videos than Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has a much tinier back camera sensor giving a way worse image quality, and they both have a F1.8 camera aperture and the same (4K) video quality, the Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro also counts with higher 60 frames per second video frame rate and a camera with a way better resolution.
