Comparison review
Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, with a 78.7 score against 76.6. Even though the Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro is newer than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, it's a little bit heavier and a bit thicker. Both phones in this review use Android OS (Operating System), but the Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro has the newer 12 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has Android 10 version, so it provides a lot of extra features and improved performance.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a way better performance than Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro, although it has 5 GB lesser RAM, they both have the same number of cores. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a little bit better screen than Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro, because although it has a little bit smaller screen and a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, it also counts with a little bit more pixels per inch of screen.
The Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro has a better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has a way tinier back camera sensor offering a much worse image quality, and they both have a same size camera aperture, the Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro also counts with a way higher resolution camera in the back and a way better 3840x2160 (4K) video quality.
The Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro features a very superior memory capacity for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has just a bit longer battery performance than Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro, because it has a 5020mAh battery size.
