Xiaomi Black Shark is slightly better than Huawei Mate 8, having an 80.4 score against 77.4. Even though the Xiaomi Black Shark is noticeably newer than Huawei Mate 8, it is a little heavier and somewhat thicker. The Xiaomi Black Shark features a bit superior processing unit than Huawei Mate 8, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Xiaomi Black Shark also has 4 GB more RAM.

Xiaomi Black Shark has a little sharper display than Huawei Mate 8, and although they both have a same size display, the Xiaomi Black Shark also has a quite better 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution and a little better pixels number per inch of screen. Xiaomi Black Shark shoots a bit better photos and videos than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a much lower resolution back camera, it also counts with a larger diafragm aperture to take better low light photos and video and a lot higher 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution.

Huawei Mate 8 features much more memory capacity for apps and games than Xiaomi Black Shark, and although they both have the same 128 GB internal storage, the Huawei Mate 8 also has a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 128 GB. The Huawei Mate 8 counts with a battery performance that's very similar to the battery duration in Xiaomi Black Shark.
