The Huawei P40 Pro is slightly better than the Xiaomi Black Shark, having a global score of 88.2 against 80.4. Both phones in this review come with Android OS (operating system), but the Huawei P40 Pro has 10 version while Xiaomi Black Shark has Android 9.0 Pie. Huawei P40 Pro's construction is newer and a little thinner than the Xiaomi Black Shark's, but it is a bit heavier.
The Xiaomi Black Shark features a bit better looking display than Huawei P40 Pro, although it has a quite lower pixel number in each inch in the screen, a bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2160 and a little bit smaller display. Huawei P40 Pro counts with as much storage to store more apps and games as Xiaomi Black Shark, both of them have equal internal storage.
The Xiaomi Black Shark and the Huawei P40 Pro feature extremely similar CPUs, both have 8 GB of RAM and a Octa-Core processing unit. Huawei P40 Pro features a much better camera than Xiaomi Black Shark, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not recommended for taking photographs and video in low-light situations, and they both have the same video resolution, the Huawei P40 Pro also counts with a back camera with a much better 50 megapixels resolution, better video frame rates and a lot larger back-facing camera sensor.
The Huawei P40 Pro counts with a bit longer battery lifetime than Xiaomi Black Shark, because it has a 5 percent more battery capacity.
