Xiaomi Black Shark is slightly better than Moto Z2 Play, getting an 80.4 score against 77.4. Although the Xiaomi Black Shark is newer than Moto Z2 Play, it is extremely heavier and incredibly thicker. The Xiaomi Black Shark features a bit more powerful processing unit than Motorola Moto Z2 Play, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xiaomi Black Shark also has 4 GB more RAM memory.
Xiaomi Black Shark has a little bit better screen than Moto Z2 Play, because it has a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2160, a little bit bigger display and a just a little better pixel density. Moto Z2 Play has a way bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xiaomi Black Shark, because although it has only 64 GB internal storage, it also counts with a SD extension slot that admits a maximum of 1,95 TB.
Xiaomi Black Shark shoots a bit better photographs and videos than Moto Z2 Play, although it has a smaller aperture which is not nice for low light images, they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates, a 12 MP resolution back-facing camera and the same (4K) video definition. The Xiaomi Black Shark has improved battery performance than Moto Z2 Play, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity against 3000mAh.
