Huawei P20 Pro is a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi 4, with an 81.4 score against 75.2. Both phones we compare here come with Android OS (Operating System), but Huawei P20 Pro has an older 10 version and Xiaomi Mi 4 has Android 4.4.3 version. Huawei P20 Pro's design is a lot newer and somewhat thinner than the Xiaomi Mi 4's, although it is also somewhat heavier.

The Huawei P20 Pro has a better camera than Xiaomi Mi 4, and although they both have the same (4K) video resolution, a F1.8 camera aperture and the same video frame rate, the Huawei P20 Pro also has a much larger back camera sensor providing a much better image quality and a much more megapixels camera in the back.
Huawei P20 Pro features a much better memory for games and applications than Xiaomi Mi 4, because it has 64 GB more internal storage capacity. Huawei P20 Pro has greater battery performance than Xiaomi Mi 4, because it has a 30% bigger battery capacity.
The Huawei P20 Pro costs a bit more than Xiaomi Mi 4, but it's still a good choice, as you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
