Huawei P40 has a global score of 86.4, which is much better than the Xiaomi Mi 4's overall score of 75.2. Even though Huawei P40 is heavier than the Xiaomi Mi 4, it's a little thinner and much newer. These phones include Android OS (Operating System), but the Huawei P40 has older 10 version while Xiaomi Mi 4 has Android 4.4.3 version.
Huawei P40 has a bit faster processing unit than Xiaomi Mi 4, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor, it also counts with 3 GB more RAM memory and a higher number of faster cores.
