Huawei Mate 20 is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Mi 5c, having a 79.5 score against 72.4. These devices use Android OS (Operating System), but the Huawei Mate 20 has newer 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Mi 5c has Android 7.1 Nougat, offering lots of additional features and some performance improvements. Huawei Mate 20 is a newer phone than Xiaomi Mi 5c, but it's somewhat thicker and noticeably heavier.
Huawei Mate 20 has a bit sharper screen than Xiaomi Mi 5c, because although it has a bit inferior amount of pixels per inch of screen, it also counts with a slightly better 1080 x 2244px resolution and a bigger screen. The Huawei Mate 20 has much more storage capacity for applications and games than Xiaomi Mi 5c, because it has 64 GB more internal memory capacity.
The Huawei Mate 20 counts with a little better processing power than Xiaomi Mi 5c, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Huawei Mate 20 also has a higher amount of RAM. The Huawei Mate 20 has a way better battery performance than Xiaomi Mi 5c, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity against 2860mAh.
Huawei Mate 20 features just a bit better camera than Xiaomi Mi 5c, and although they both have a back facing camera with a 12 mega-pixels, the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same video resolution, the Huawei Mate 20 also has a bigger camera aperture for better low-light captures and video.
Although Huawei Mate 20 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Xiaomi Mi 5c, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xiaomi Mi 5c. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy Xiaomi Mi 5c, and give up some specs and features, but you will get the most with your money.
