Microsoft Surface Duo is slightly better than the Xiaomi Mi 5c, with a global score of 78.8 against 72.4. Both phones in this comparison review use Android OS (Operating System), but the Microsoft Surface Duo has an older 10 version while Xiaomi Mi 5c has Android 7.1 Nougat version. Although Microsoft Surface Duo is way heavier than the Xiaomi Mi 5c, it's much thinner and also noticeably newer.
Microsoft Surface Duo has a bit more powerful CPU than Xiaomi Mi 5c, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Microsoft Surface Duo also has a larger amount of RAM memory. Microsoft Surface Duo counts with a display that is very similar to Xiaomi Mi 5c's screen, because although the Microsoft Surface Duo has a quite lower pixel density, it also counts with a way better resolution of 1800 x 2700px and a way bigger display.
The Xiaomi Mi 5c captures just a bit better photos and videos than Microsoft Surface Duo, because although it has a tinier camera aperture which is not so good for low-light images and slower video frame rate, and they both have the same video resolution, the Xiaomi Mi 5c also counts with a back camera with a better 12 megapixels resolution.
The Microsoft Surface Duo has much more storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5c, because it has 128 GB internal storage capacity. Microsoft Surface Duo has better battery duration than Xiaomi Mi 5c, because it has 3577mAh of battery capacity instead of 2860mAh.
Although Microsoft Surface Duo is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Xiaomi Mi 5c, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xiaomi Mi 5c. If you want to save some money, you can buy Xiaomi Mi 5c, giving up some specs and features, but you will get the most out of your savings.
