Comparison review
The Xperia XZ2 Premium is better than the Xiaomi Mi 5c, getting an 82.2 score against 72.4. The Xperia XZ2 Premium construction is newer than the Xiaomi Mi 5c's, but it's incredibly heavier and noticeably thicker. The Xperia XZ2 Premium features a little faster CPU than Xiaomi Mi 5c, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also has more RAM memory.
The Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a lot better looking display than Xiaomi Mi 5c, because it has a much greater pixels count per inch in the display, a quite larger display and a much higher resolution of 2160 x 3840. Xperia XZ2 Premium features a superior camera than Xiaomi Mi 5c, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a bigger camera aperture and a camera with a way better 19 mega pixels resolution.
The Xperia XZ2 Premium features a very superior memory to store more apps and games than Xiaomi Mi 5c, and although they both have the same internal storage, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 400 GB. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with better battery performance than Xiaomi Mi 5c, because it has 3540mAh of battery capacity.
Although Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Xiaomi Mi 5c, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xiaomi Mi 5c. If you want to save some money, you can get the Xiaomi Mi 5c, giving up a few features and specs, but you will get the most out of your budget.
