Comparison review
Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a bit better than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, having a 78.7 score against 78.1. Both devices in this comparison work with Android OS (operating system), but the Huawei Mate 9 Pro has the newer 8.0 Oreo version while Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus has Android 6.0 Marshmallow, offering a couple additional features and performance enhancements. Although Huawei Mate 9 Pro and the Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus were released with only 3 months difference, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro design is just a bit thinner but a little heavier.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has just a little better processing power than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, and although they both have the same RAM amount, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro also has a greater number of cores (and they are faster). Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with a little bit better looking screen than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a higher 1440 x 2560 resolution and a greater pixel amount per inch of display.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro features as much storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos as the Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus one, both of them have exactly the same internal storage. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a little better battery duration than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus feature really similar cameras, because although the Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a tinier aperture which is not nice for low light captures, a worse 3840x2160 video definition and a less megapixels resolution back facing camera, it also counts with a larger camera sensor.
