Comparison review
The Huawei P40 Pro is better than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, getting an 88.2 score against 78.1. Although the Huawei P40 Pro is notably newer than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, it is thicker and somewhat heavier. These phones work with Android OS, but Huawei P40 Pro has older 10 version while Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus has Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus and the Huawei P40 Pro count with extremely similar screens, although the Huawei P40 Pro also has a larger screen, a little bit better pixel density and a higher 1200 x 2640 pixels resolution. The Huawei P40 Pro has a bit superior CPU than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, because it has a higher amount of RAM memory and a greater number of cores (and they are faster).
Huawei P40 Pro shoots much better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, and although they both have the same (4K) video quality, the Huawei P40 Pro also has a much bigger back camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors, a lot better 50 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera, higher video frame rates and a bigger diafragm aperture.
The Huawei P40 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus feature similar storage capacity for games and applications, both of them have equal internal storage. Huawei P40 Pro has a little longer battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, because it has an 11% more battery size.
