Comparison review
The Galaxy M40 is slightly better than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, getting an 85 score against 78.1. Galaxy M40's construction has the same weight and thickness than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus. Both of these phones come with Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy M40 has an older 10 version and Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus has Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus counts with a little sharper display than Galaxy M40, although it has a little bit smaller screen, a quite lower 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution and a just a bit less pixels per inch of display. The Galaxy M40 has a bit more powerful processing unit than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, and although they both have 6 GB of RAM, the Galaxy M40 also has a larger number of cores.
Galaxy M40 shoots much clearer photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, and although they both have the same (4K) video definition and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Galaxy M40 also has a back facing camera with a way better 32 megapixels resolution, a bigger aperture for better low-light photos and video and a larger camera sensor which provides a better image and video quality.
Samsung Galaxy M40 counts with a much better memory for apps and games than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, and although they both have equal 128 GB internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy M40 also has a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 512 GB. Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus features just a bit better battery performance than Galaxy M40, because it has 3800mAh of battery capacity.
