Comparison review
Samsung Galaxy S7 edge is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, getting a 78.1 score against 78.1. Even when Samsung Galaxy S7 edge and Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus were only released 7 months apart, Samsung Galaxy S7 edge is just a bit thinner and a little lighter. Both phones in our current comparison work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has newer 8.0 Oreo version and Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus has Android 6.0 Marshmallow, so it gives a couple nice extra features.
The Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus counts with a little bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, and although they both have a Quad-Core processing unit, the Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus also has 2 GB more RAM memory. The Galaxy S7 edge has a little sharper display than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a higher 1440 x 2560 resolution and a greater pixels density.
Galaxy S7 edge takes slightly better photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, because although it has a lower (4K) video resolution and a lower resolution back-facing camera, it also counts with a larger back camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors and a larger diafragm aperture. The Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus has a better memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 96 GB more internal memory capacity.
Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus has just a bit longer battery duration than Galaxy S7 edge, because it has 3800mAh of battery capacity.
