Both phones in our current comparison use Android OS, but the Xiaomi Mi 11 has older 11 version while Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version. Although Xiaomi Mi 11 is noticeably newer than the Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, it is heavier and just a little thicker.
