Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus is just a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, with a 78.1 score against 76.6. Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus is an much older cellphone than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, but it is somewhat thinner and lighter anyway. These phones work with Android operating system, but Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus has a more recent 6.0 Marshmallow version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has Android 10 version, providing you some nice extra features.
Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus counts with a little bit better display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, although it has a quite lower screen density, a little smaller screen and a little bit worse resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9's CPU is very similar to Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus's CPU, because although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has lesser RAM memory, it also counts with more processing cores.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 takes much clearer photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate and the same video quality, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has a bigger diafragm aperture to capture better low-light photography and video, a way bigger camera sensor providing a way higher image quality and a back-facing camera with a way better resolution.
The Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus features a bit more storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with more internal storage. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features improved battery life than Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus, because it has 5020mAh of battery capacity instead of 3800mAh.
