Comparison review
The Huawei P40 is better than the Xiaomi Mi 6, getting a general score of 86.4 against 76.5. Even though Huawei P40 is noticeably newer than the Xiaomi Mi 6, it is just a little heavier and somewhat thicker. Xiaomi Mi 6 has a bit more vivid display than Huawei P40, because although it has a little worse resolution of 1080 x 1920 and a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a bit more pixels per display inch.
The Huawei P40 has a bit better CPU than Xiaomi Mi 6. Both of them have 6 GB of RAM and the same number of cores. The Huawei P40 has as much memory capacity to install applications and games as the Xiaomi Mi 6 one, both have exactly the same 128 GB internal memory capacity. The Huawei P40 has a bit better battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi 6, because it has 3800mAh of battery capacity.
The Huawei P40 has a lot better camera than Xiaomi Mi 6, because although it has a tinier aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Huawei P40 also counts with a much bigger back camera sensor capturing much higher quality photographs, a camera with a much better 50 megapixels resolution and higher video frame rate.
Huawei P40 not only is the best devices of the ones we are comparing, but it's also by far the cheapest one.
