Comparison review
Google Pixel 3a is a bit better than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, with a global score of 78.8 against 77.7. These devices use Android OS (operating system), but Google Pixel 3a has the previous 11 version and Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite has Android 8.1 Oreo. The Google Pixel 3a body is just a little thicker but lighter than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite.
Google Pixel 3a counts with a slightly better screen than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, because although it has a little worse resolution of 1080 x 2220px and a quite smaller display, it also counts with a just a bit higher pixel count in each inch in the screen. The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite has just a little better hardware performance than Google Pixel 3a, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite also has a higher amount of RAM.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite features a slightly better camera than Google Pixel 3a, although it has a lower 12 mega-pixels resolution camera in the back, a worse video quality and a tinier aperture which is not favorable for low light images and video, they both have a same size back-facing camera sensor.
